Graduation final paper, EDITORIAL DESIGN | 2023
This work sought to investigate the editorial design of art catalogs, based on publications from the Assis Chateaubriand Museum of Art of São Paulo (MASP), and their relationship with the work of the artists in question in the construction of meaning in the reading experience. Through a content analysis, based on a bibliographic survey and case studies of three exhibition catalogs, was observed how each project approaches the elements of editorial design in different ways, building parallels with the style and media of each artist. Each catalog, in its own way, becomes an extension of the works it represents and editorial design acts not just as a presentation tool, but as a means by which the essence of each artist is captured and communicated.
